MLB Fans Roasted Bob Costas Over His Embarrassing Mistake During Diamondbacks-Dodgers Game 2

The Diamondbacks stunned the Dodgers again on Monday, beating the NL West champs 4-2 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in their National League Division Series. Arizona now needs just one more win to end Los Angeles’s season.

Bob Costas was once again on the call for TBS, and the legendary broadcaster got called out by fans for a glaring mistake he made in the first inning.

In case you missed it, Costas was a little off about dates while talking about Dodgers pitching coach Mark Prior. He said of the former Cubs star, “Remember how good he was back in the 1990s with the Cubs, pairing with Kerry Wood? They thought they’d have a terrific one-two punch for a generation, and then both of them fell victim to injuries.”

There was only one problem with that statement—Prior didn’t pitch in the 1990s. He was drafted by the Cubs in 2001 and made his MLB debut in 2002.
