Jack Flaherty’s Mom Posted Adorable Photo From Childhood That Foreshadowed New Team

Pitcher Jack Flaherty was picked up by the Tigers on a one-year, $14 million deal on Wednesday.
His mother, Eileen Flaherty, revealed after the news broke that the move was a childhood dream come true for Flaherty. She posted a photo of her and her son while he was sporting a Tigers jersey when he was younger.
“@Jack9Flaherty who knew that when this picture was taken, you would get the opportunity to play for the @tigers,” his mother wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “18 years later…you’ve arrived.”

Flaherty will be joining a Tigers team that went 78–84 in the 2023 season.
After making his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2017, Flaherty stayed with the team until Aug. 1 of this year when he was traded to the Orioles. Before being traded, Flaherty went 7-6 with a 4.43 ERA in 20 starts. He made seven starts with Baltimore and posted a 6.75 ERA.
