Ron Washington is leaving Atlanta to become the head man for the Los Angeles Angels.

After seven seasons, six division titles, and a World Series Championship, it's safe to assume that there were plenty of memories made from the third base coach's time in Atlanta.

Ronald Acuña said "We gonna miss you" on socials.

Austin Riley shared a post saying, "They don't make another Ron Washington. Thank you for molding me into the player I am Today! Forever grateful!"

Ozzie Albies wrote on a social media post, "Wash helped me become the player I am today. He was always there for me and supported me in so many different ways. I'll always be thankful to have time to work with him. Thank you Wash for everything. God Bless You. Braves Country will miss you."

Safe to say that he will be missed by the Atlanta Braves.

Jake Mastroianni discussed a potential trade target for Atlanta, Dylan Cease of the Chicago White Sox.

With new White Sox GM Chris Getz essentially saying every player is available, a lot of teams will likely check in on starting pitcher Dylan Cease.
Even with the soon-to-be 28-year-old coming off a down season in which he posted a 4.58 ERA and 1.418 WHIP, a lot of teams would love to add him to their rotation. In 2022 he finished second in the AL Cy Young voting with a 2.20 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and a K/9 of 11.1.
Another great value for Cease is that he's made at least 32 starts in the past three seasons, showing signs of durability.
If there are some concerns with Cease, it's that his 4-seam fastball dropped 1 MPH in 2023, from 96.8 MPH to 95.6 MPH. That's a fairly significant drop for someone who relies on a heavy fastball to pair with his still outstanding slier that gets whiff rates in the 40 percent range.

How long until pitchers and catchers report?

94 days. Atlanta's expected to ask pitchers and catchers to report on Monday, February 12th, in advance of their first spring training game on February 24th against the Tampa Bay Rays. An official announcement of the reporting date will come in January.
