Controversial Ex-MLB Outfielder, Brewers Fan Favorite Guarantees World Series Win

In this story:
The 2026 MLB regular season will end in just over one month and the Milwaukee Brewers still hold the best record in baseball at 79-49.
The Brew Crew open a pivotal three-game set against one of their top competition in the National League with the Atlanta Braves on Friday and are looking to separate themselves at the top of the pack.
While the Brewers currently look like the biggest threat to dethrone the two-time defending-champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the fall, many people still aren't buying Milwaukee as serious contenders for the NL pennant.
Don't tell that to former MLB outfielder and Brewers fan favorite Nyjer Morgan.
The controversial ex-big leaguer appeared on ESPN Milwaukee's "Kyle & Brust" to discuss the Brewers' chances of winning their first championship in franchise history.
Morgan also argued that the team should call up top prospect Jesus Made ahead of the postseason.
"I believe that, honestly, we're going to go all the way. Bring up Made. We're going to be raising up that trophy at the end of the year," the 46-year-old said. "And definitely I will be there, showing up for the (World Series) parade. Just make sure you have a spot for me."
Speedster Part Of Brewers' 2011 Deep Playoff Run

Morgan made his claim on the show in the wake of Milwaukee's historic 22-0 win against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.
The San Francisco native spent two-plus seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates to begin his MLB career before being traded to the Washington Nationals in June 2009.
Morgan made headlines during the 2010 season with Washington when, while attempting to make a leaping catch at the wall, had the ball bounce off his glove and to the ground. Morgan initially thought the ball went over the wall for a home run, resulting in him slamming his glove to the ground and giving up on the play.
The batter -- Baltimore Orioles star Adam Jones -- ended up with an inside-the-park home run on the play.
Later that season he was suspended eight games for his involvement during a benches-clearing brawl between the Nationals and Florida Marlins.
Morgan was traded to the Brewers in March 2011 and had one of the best seasons of his career. He finished the regular season with a career-high 3.0 Wins Above Replacement (WAR), while adding high marks in home runs (four) and doubles (20) with a .304/.357/.421 slash line as well.
Morgan adopted the nickname "Tony Plush" during two campaigns with Milwaukee and became a fan favorite.
His most memorable moment with the Brewers came during Game 5 of the 2011 NLDS vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks when he hit a series-clinching, walk-off single in extra innings.
