Dodgers Notes: Barnesy's Struggles, Neverending Prospect Success, Mookie Wants Out of Outfield

In this story:
The Dodgers fell on a final of 8-4 in Texas and were unable to complete the sweep of the Rangers on Sunday. That wasn't necessarily surprising, however. LA has struggled on Sunday games all season long and hasn't brought home a Sunday victory since mid-May.
One note about those Sunday losses, more often than not, Austin Barnes is the starting catcher and, well, the team's numbers haven't been great when he's in the lineup as the tweet below shows us.
The Dodgers finish the road trip against the Orioles, Mets and Rangers 6-3.

They go 6-0 in games started by Will Smith. They go 0-3 in games started by Austin Barnes.
They’re now 16-15 in Barnes starts this season and 2-6 in his last eight starts. https://t.co/ply6UvIlYa
In other news, the club is adjusting the return plan for Clayton Kershaw ever so slightly and Mookie Betts expressed a desire, or hope but not quite a demand, to remain in the infield for the rest of his career.
Over at the Los Angeles Times, Jack Harris took a deep dive into the Dodgers' success in the farm system. His reporting shows off the organization's willingness to take input from all perspectives up and down the ranks. Check that out here.
