It's not often that we see players or managers get ejected from a game. It happens from time to time, but rarely in consecutive games. The Cleveland Guardians and Chicago White Sox series over the weekend challenged this norm.

It all started on Friday night when Brayan Rocchio attempted to steal second base. Tim Anderson used his mitt to push Rocchio's hand off the bag which resulted in him being out.

Terry Francona took expectation to the play and how the umpire crew handheld the situation and was thrown out of the game for the second time this season. He didn't hold back after the game and called out both Anderson and the crew for the play.

Little did fans know at the time, but this was just a teaser for what this series had in store for them. The real showdown happened on Saturday night.

Jose Ramirez hit a ball right over first base and slid into second base for a hustle double. Ramirez felt Anderson cheap-shotted him with the tag and ... we all know the rest. "Down goes Anderson! Down goes Anderson!"

This brawl resulted in both players and managers being ejected along with a number of other players such as Emmanuel Clase.

Ramirez didn't hold back after the game saying that Anderson has disrespected the game multiple times in the past. Tito also added a new layer to the story when he revealed the White Sox shortstop was making comments directed toward Gabriel Arias

There's no doubt that players will be suspended following the skirmish, but MLB has not announced any punishments yet.

The series finale was pretty quiet with no real carryover felt from the quarrel from the night before. However, this will be a series that is talked about for years to come with everything that happened.
