Indians announce pregame activities for ALDS Games 1 and 2

CLEVELAND-- The Cleveland Indians announced the pregame festivities for ALDS Games 1 and 2 at Progressive Field this Thursday and Friday via a press release.

CLEVELAND-- The Cleveland Indians announced the pregame festivities for ALDS Games 1 and 2 at Progressive Field this Thursday and Friday via a press release.

The team also announced that Gateway Plaza between Progressive Field and Quicken Loans arena will have a security perimeter around it three hours prior to gates opening. Vehicles will not be allowed in the area, and anyone going into the plaza will have to pass through a security checkpoint.

The following is straight from the press release in regards to pregame activities:

ALDS Game 1: 7:38PM first pitch (gates open at 5:30PM)

• Ceremonial first pitch: Indians first base coach Sandy Alomar Jr., on the 20th anniversary of his game-tying homer in the 1997 ALDS
• National anthem: Scott Posey (Lake Catholic High School music teacher)
• Presentation of colors: Members of United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard
• Flyover: U.S. Air Force
• Other: Tricky Dick & the Coverups perform on Gateway Plaza, DJ Kyro in Heritage Park

ALDS Game 2: 5:08PM first pitch (gates open at 3PM)

• Ceremonial first pitch: Indians alum Travis Fryman
• National anthem: Brittany Best (singer, voice instructor from Youngstown)
• Presentation of colors: U.S. Marines
• Other: Faction performs on Gateway Plaza, DJ Kyro in Heritage Park
