Philadelphia Phillies Struggles Continue, Drop Another to Marlins in Extras

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies (4-8) dropped another game and another series on Wednesday, this time to the Miami Marlins (6-7) in extra innings.
The struggles continue despite starter Zack Wheeler going 6.0 innings of one-run ball. The offense once again failed to support their pitching staff. If it hasn't been the offense it's been the pitching.
The loss of the injured stars, and there's too many to mention, is finally taking it's toll.
Doubles from Trea Turner, Bryson Stott and Nick Castellanos were the lone highlights of the evening on the offensive side of the house.
It unraveled in the eighth inning when Jose Alvarado was asked to start a second inning. He gave up a game-tying home run.
That run led to extra innings where Gregory Soto gave up a run in the 10th innings. Philadelphia could not respond offensively and they dropped the series.
There's not much to say other than the struggles continue and something has to change. What that is, who knows? Perhaps the return of Ranger Suarez and Bryce Harper can help stabilize the rotation and the lineup.
That's what the Phillies have to hope for.
