In this story:

The Philadelphia Phillies have come to agreements with two of their broadcasters Tom McCarthy and Scott Franzke on new multi-year deals according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Both have played an integral part in the culture and production of the Phillies broadcasts on television and the radio.

McCarthy is entering his 21st season with the organization, his 15th season as the lead announcer for the Phillies television broadcast. Franzke has been the play-by-play lead since 2007.

Both have become fan favorites with McCarthy becoming synonymous with the best television broadcast in all of baseball. Franzke, on the other hand, has called some of the most iconic moments in Phillies history.

McCarthy is excited to remain with the organization and continue his work and legacy.

“My family and I are so appreciative of everything the Phillies have done for us for the 21 years we have been part of the organization,” McCarthy said. “We are excited about this deal and the future of the Phillies. It’s a dream to be part of the fabric of this amazing city.”

As Philadelphia gears up for another run, one thing they won't have to worry about is their legendary personalities' contract statuses. Two more stars the Phillies can check off their list of locking up this winter.
