Philadelphia Phillies See Massive Jump in Power Rankings After Bounce Back Week

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies are on the rise in MLB's latest weekly power rankings. The Phillies saw a massive jump of six spots after a huge week in which the club bounced back.
Philadelphia now sits at 15 on the list, up from 21 last week. Over the course of the last seven days the Phillies have gone 4-2 and won two series.
The first was against the Seattle Mariners, a team that had high expectations entering the 2023 MLB season. Philadelphia outscored them 12-8 en route to a 2-1 series victory.
What really turned heads was the weekend series against the Houston Astros in a 2022 World Series rematch.
Over the course of the series, two games were on national television and Philadelphia looked dominant. Aaron Nola threw 8.0 innings of one-run baseball while Zack Wheeler followed with 6.0 innings of shutout pitching.
The offense also looked great as they took the series 2-1.
Now, Bryce Harper could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday.
The Phillies will now face the Los Angeles Dodgers for a four-game series beginning on Monday night before hosting the Boston Red Sox over the weekend at Citizens Bank Park.
