Philadelphia Phillies Star Given Encouraging Odds to Win NL MVP in 2023

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies have bolstered their roster ahead of the 2023 MLB season after falling just short against the Houston Astros in their endeavor for a World Series championship last season.
In fact, they are among the most improved teams this winter, an especially spectacular feat considering just how much talent was already on the roster. Shortstop Trea Turner's arrival is the marquee signing that pushed the needle.
Turner's blend of elite skillsets at the plate, on the basepaths and on the field make him one of the most talented and dangerous players on the diamond. It's for those reasons that OddsChecker has given Turner +1000 odds, or a 9.1-percent chance of winning the National League MVP award in 2023.
That places Turner as the sixth most likely player to win the award. If Turner can stay healthy and help fill a Bryce Harper-sized hole in the lineup, he very well could have his name mentioned among the very best in the National League next season.
