Aroldis Chapman is Returning to National League Central Division

Chapman will turn 36-years-old in February.

CINCINNATI — Aroldis Chapman is back in the National League Central Division. The former Reds closer has agreed to a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

MLB insider Robert Murray was the first to report the news. The one-year deal is worth $10.5 million according to Bob Nightengale. 

Chapman spent the first six years of his career with the Reds. He's also spent seven years with the Yankees and had stints with the Cubs, Royals and Rangers.

The Reds traded Chapman to the Yankees on Dec. 28, 2015. 

Cincinnati hosts Pittsburgh on June 24-26.
