New York Yankees Injury Update: Aaron Judge

In this story:
New York Yankees superstar outfielder Aaron Judge told reporters on Tuesday that he has begun doing some light hitting off a tee, in addition to playing catch.
However, he is still not putting weight on his big toe, which has torn ligaments in it, and cannot run.
According to Judge, once he is able to run then he will be able to play. However, the All-Star outfielder does not know when that will be.
“I’m feeling good, not great yet. We’re getting there,” Judge said, via MLB.com. “I've got to be able to run. If I can run, then I can play. Me running at 10 percent [isn’t] going to help anybody out there.
“Once we build up that strength and get the pain and all that all out of there, we’re going to be in a good spot. I understand you’re going to deal with some pain coming back, so it’s just about getting to a point where it’s tolerable and we’re not setting ourselves back here.”
Judge first injured his toe on June 3 when he crashed through the right field wall at Dodger Stadium to make a spectacular catch. He has been on the IL ever since and the Yankees' offense has struggled during this stretch.
The good news is that Judge says he will not be getting surgery during the season, but he did not rule out an offseason procedure.
“There’s talk of surgery, but I don’t think we’re at that [point],” said Judge. “I’m not a doctor. I have no idea. They throw around eight different things.”
Judge resumed baseball activities on June 28 in Oakland.
The Yankees entered play on Tuesday with a 12-13 record without Judge. Overall, they're 47-38, nine games back of the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East. New York is tied with the Houston Astros for the final two Wild Card spots in the AL.
