Live Updates: New York Yankees at Detroit Tigers — Spring Training Game 9

LAKELAND, Fla. — After a day off, the Yankees are back in action against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland.
Before first pitch at Publix Field, here's a look at this game's starting lineups and some related reading.

Most of the starting position players (except Giancarlo Stanton and Luke Voit) made the trip fresh off an off day. Deivi García makes his second start of the spring as the competition for the fifth spot in the rotation continues to heat up.
Jay Bruce gets the start at first base, a good test to see how he performs at another position other than the corner outfields. Meanwhile, Mike Tauchman gets the nod in right field with Aaron Judge taking hacks out of the designated hitter spot.

Second inning
Jay Bruce continues to impress this spring, crushing his second home run of exhibition games. Here's a look at the opposite-field blast that put the Yankees in front 2-0.

Third inning
Deivi García is through three scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He's only allowed two base hits, erasing both runners on double plays. Really impressive outing thus far from the young right-hander.

Fourth inning
Willi Castro goes yard off Luis Cessa to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead. More importantly, Clint Frazier hit the left-field wall hard trying to rob a home run. He stayed in the game, though.
Fifth inning
Gary Sánchez just hit an absolute BOMB. The home run hit halfway up the light tower in left field, tying the game at 3-3.

Sixth inning
Nick Nelson continues to pitch well this spring, shutting the Tigers down for two innings in relief. Here's his strikeout of Miguel Cabrera to end the sixth inning.

Eighth inning
All the starts are out of this game by now, but it's going to come down to the wire. Detroit ties the game 5-5 after Riley Greene rips an RBI double into the gap and Derek Hill drives him in with an RBI single. Hill came around to score on a wild pitch from Yankees reliever Tyler Lyons, giving the Tigers the late lead.
Ninth inning
FINAL: Yankees 5, Tigers 6
