Roger Gracie faces Kondo at Sengoku II

World Victory Road on Monday announced that Roger Gracie will face former King of Pancrase Yuki Kondo on May 18 at its Sengoku II event.

Roger Gracie has only one professional mixed martial arts bout to his credit, a victory over UFC and Pride veteran Ron Waterman, but is highly regarded because of his pedigree.

Besides being a former King of Pancrase, Kondo is also a UFC and Pride veteran. He is at the opposite end of the spectrum from Gracie when it comes to experience. Kondo has been competing as a professional mixed martial artist for more than 12 years and has over 80 bouts to his credit.

Sengoku II is expected to be headline by a bout featuring former UFC heavyweight champion and current open weight King of Pancrase Josh Barnett squaring off with Abu Dhabi champion Jeff Monson.
