Kit Cope to star on MTV reality show, again

On Friday, May 30, mixed martial arts returns to Atlantic City, N.J., at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino. The World Fighting Championships features a main event between Ultimate Fighting Championship and World Extreme Cagefighting veteran Kit "The Prophecy" Cope and Dave Cochran, which will be featured on an episode of the popular MTV series "True Life."

This will be the second stint for Cope on MTV as the charismatic fighter was previously featured on the show "True Life: I'm a Muay Thai Fighter" and now on the new installment entitled "True Life: I'm an MMA Fighter."

Cope will return to action for the first time in more than a year after dealing with a suspension stemming from a positive drug test after a fight with "Razor" Rob McCullough in January 2007 in the WEC. He then had to deal with knee surgery that also kept him out of action following the suspension.

MTV will be on hand at the event to chronicle Cope's journey from training to the fight. The episode is expected to air in early July.

The fight card will also feature many other bouts and will broadcast on the Internet via the Fight Site channel on
