Sengoku's featherweight tournament semifinals are set, according to a report from tatame.com.

Marlon Sandro (14-0), who defeated Matt Jaggers and Nick Denis to receive his semi-final spot, said he would face UFC veteran Michihiro Omigawa on the Aug. 2 card in Japan. The venue has yet to be announced.

Remaining participants Hatsu Hioki and Masanori Kanehara will do battle to determine the tournament's other finalist. Both the semi-finals and finals will be fought on the same night.

Hioki defeated Chris Manuel and Ronnie Mann to earn his semifinal spot, while Kanehara dispatched Jong Man Kim and Chan Sung Jung to earn his.

Sandro told the Brazilian website he was happy with his recent KO victory over Denis, but wanted to get business done quicker.

"It was wonderful," said Sandro. "I can't handle with more injuries. My goal is to end the fights the faster possible in every fight. The faster the fights end, better to me. I need to be fast in the first one. I want to knock him out or submit fast, I'm training to fight eight rounds in two fights."
