McGregor ‘nearly made a miracle’ for wheelchair-bound fan

One diehard Conor McGregor fan recounts a near-miracle spurred by watching one of his idol’s fights.

Conor McGregor’s impact on his home country of Ireland has been palpable as his career has taken off.

One of his biggest fans, Graham Merrigan, spoke with SI to recount a few McGregor stories. Merrigan, who is wheelchair-bound, offered a powerful anecdote as he recalled McGregor’s 13-second knockout of Jose Aldo.

Merrigan was so shocked, he says, that he nearly stood up from his chair for a moment while McGregor celebrated.
