Anderson Silva will miss UFC 198 due to abdominal pain that may require gall bladder surgery, reports Yahoo Sports’s Kevin Iole.
Silva was scheduled to fight Uriah Hall in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil at UFC 198. Silva, 41, will now be examined to see if he will require gall bladder surgery.
“Anderson developed abdominal discomfort [Monday and] further evaluation today is consistent with acute cholecystitis,” Davidson told Iole. “He will be seen by a surgeon today for possible surgery.”
UFC president Dana White told Iole he is searching for a replacement for Silva to keep Hall on the card for UFC 198.

Silva is winless during his last four fights. He lost to Michael Bisping in London in February and last January Silva's win over Nick Diaz was ruled a no contest after Silva tested positive for steroids after the fight.
