Report: Two groups bid $4.1 billion to buy UFC

Two groups have submitted bids in the $4.1 billion range to purchase the UFC, reports Darren Rovell of ESPN.
WME-IMG has joined with Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group to offer one of the bids, while the other is being put forth by China Media Capital.
Both groups are still looking toward investors to help finance the bids, with the Kraft Group, owner of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution, reportedly backing the WME-IMG bid.
UFC president Dana White has not commented on the sale since initially denying reports that Zuffa, the UFC’s parent company, had begun fielding bids for the promotion.
Zuffa originally purchased the UFC for $2 million in 2001.
White, who owns a nine percent stake of the UFC, is expected to stay involved in some role after the sale is completed.
