Jon Jones has been dropped from the UFC 200 fight card after being flagged for a possible doping violation, fight organizers announced Wednesday night.

Jones was scheduled for a rematch with Daniel Cormier on Saturday. Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt will be the main event. UFC president Dana White said that it’s unclear if Cormier will fight a different opponent on such short notice, but that he hoped to find him an opponent.

"Obviously he’s got the chance to prove himself innocent before being called guilty, but if it’s true, super disappointing,” White told reporters on Wednesday.

“It’s devastating to Daniel Cormier, not only mentally and physically… and financially,” he continued. “This pay-per-view is trending to be massive nationally and he shares in that revenue. It’s devastating to him in every way it could possibly be.

“Maybe somebody wants to pop up and fight Cormier last-minute. I’d like to make a fight if I can.”

White did not disclose what the banned substance Jones tested for was. Jones was flagged for a test he took on June 16, an out-of-competition test that came back positive.

White, who found out about the test on Wednesday, just days before the event, hypothesized that Jones could face a lengthy suspension. Jones will have an appeal process, but will not fight on Saturday.
