LLWS Championship Game
Kendall Scott struck out 10 and allowed one hit in relief against Japan for Warner Robins, Ga., which beat Lubbock, Texas, to reach the final.
Tokyo earned a spot in the title game as Ryo Kanekubo hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth against Willemstad, Curacao.
Umpire Donald Escudero took time out during Sunday's action to dance with LLWS mascot Dugout.
With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Dalton Carriker, who was 0-for-2 with a walk in the game, sent a 2-1 pitch over the right-field seats for his fourth home run of the Little League World Series.
Japanese second baseman Masaya Ogino couldn't bear to watch as Carriker rounded the bases.
Carriker was mobbed after delivering the U.S. its third straight title, following 2005 champ Columbus, Ga., and '04 winner Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Like the previous two Georgia teams to reach South Williamsport (Columbus last year and East Marietta in 1983), Carriker and Warren Robbins won.
Warner Robins also extended the United States' longest streak since 1959-1966, a stretch of eight straight American victories.
