Celebrity Bucket Lists
If there's an event out there that I wanted to see I think I would have seen it by now but I'm a big fight fan. I love boxing. I would always want to see big heavyweight championship fight. From a historical perspective I would have loved to have been in Africa when Ali fought Foreman. I've been a fight fan ever since I was a little kid growing up and listened to Joe Louis on the radio actually get beat by Max Schmeling and then come back and killed him in the first round and that hooked me. We've been screening fights at the Mansion ever since I bought it and we've been having them live here for the last several years as well.
There's so many. I would like to go to the Monaco Grand Prix, Wimbledon, and the World Cup. Probably at the top of the list is a professional soccer game in Europe. That would be cool to see a game or a tournament over there. I also hear that I would love it and that I have to go see a game so I'm hoping to do that someday. NASCAR has huge crowds and avid fans and I think soccer is the same way in terms of its wild and crazy fans. It would be nice to see what that's like.
I'd love to go to a big Grand Slam tennis final. I want to go to Wimbledon because it's the oldest and most prestigious but it would also be nice to go to the US Open or Australia or France. The French Open would be amazing to see live just because of the clay and how that looks. The energy of being there live and seeing it in person, there's really nothing like it. At the end of the day knowing that you were there and having those images and memories, it's irreplaceable. I was at the Super Bowl this year when the Steelers beat the Cardinals and I'm still not over it.
I want to go to Wimbledon. It's the one event I've always wanted to go to but haven't. I've been to the Masters and all the big sporting events you could think of in football, baseball, basketball and golf but I've never had a chance to go to Wimbledon. It's an amazing event and I'm really trying to go next year.
I want to see the final of the World Cup in soccer. My stepfather went to the final in Mexico City in 1970 and he said it was so much more than a sporting event. It's a world event really. It's the most watched sport in the world and the most watched event in the world hands down. The thing I love about soccer is for example when you see Germany play Brazil you can see the teams play and there is a reflection of their cultures where the Brazilians play with so much fluidity and grace and the Germans are very methodical and calculating and they're both equally great but it's a completely different style. That's why I love soccer.
Maybe a World Cup in Europe but I've been fortunate to go to every event I've ever wanted to go to. I remember before I was the world heavyweight champion I'd never been to a World Series or Winter Olympics or the Super Bowl and now I've been to all these events. It's really incredible but there are events know that I never wanted to see like maybe soccer that people tell you about and they make you want to go and see that. Part of living is meeting other people that have other interests than you that get you hooked on them too.
I really want to go to the Super Bowl. I was always busy doing something or getting ready for school the next day so I've never been able to go to the Super Bowl. I've heard how crazy it is so I'd like to go check it out.
I went to the Super Bowl but I didn't even get to watch it because of all the other stuff I had to do so I'd love to go to a Super Bowl and watch it and hopefully play in one someday.
I want to go to the Masters. I've had some opportunities to go but I never have. I really want to play Augusta someday. I played Pebble Beach, which was a goal of mine, but it would be a dream to go to the Masters and play Augusta. It's the highest thing on my list at this point. Sky diving is last and playing Augusta is first. I'm a passionate golfer. I'm actually obsessive about golf and everyone has told me Augusta is majestic. It's heaven on Earth and if you love gold there isn't a more surreal and majestic place on Earth.
There are no sports events that I really want to go to, the only thing I wanted to see was Michael Jackson in concert and the day before he died, I told my fiancé that I was going to buy tickets so we could go. The next day he passed and I couldn't believe it. That's the only event that I ever wanted to see.
I know this is for a sporting event but there is only one event I've ever wanted to go to and I was going to see it this year. It's an event that's dear to my heart; I've always wanted to go to a Michael Jackson concert. I actually had tickets for his concert and I was in London. Even though the concert was obviously cancelled I still went to London with a group of us that had already bought the plane tickets and ended up going to Wimbledon. I didn't always want to go to Wimbledon but it was amazing and I'm glad I got to see it. We watched the women's final between Venus and Serena and then we saw them again in the women's doubles finals. It was ridiculous. I'm glad I got to see that but a Michael Jackson concert is still the one event that I've always wanted to go to and unfortunately I won't be able to do that.
I want to go to a Georgia game. I've heard so much about it. I want to go to a Georgia-Alabama game Sanford Stadium in Athens. Everybody that I've talked to that has played in the SEC says that that's the best place -- "Between the Hedges." It would have been nice to play there one time while I was in college but I need to go there to watch a game someday.
It's all about Augusta and the Masters. I'm a big golf fan and eventually I want to be able to go to Augusts and see what it's like to be at the Masters. I've heard about it from so many friends and I need to find a way to get down there someday. I also want to go to the Kentucky Derby. I'm going to go next year for the first time and that's another event that I've heard so much about over the years that I really want to experience in person.
I really want to go to see the Indy 500. I've heard so many great things about the event and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and how many people come out to see it live. The excitement of being there live would be incredible. I'm not really even a fan but being able to experience it live would be amazing. I'd also love to go to any NASCAR event and see it live. I really like Carl Edwards and his style. I keep hearing that I have to go to a race and feel it in person so that's one thing I really want to do.
I want to go to the Master and play Augusta. That would be a dream to go to the Masters and then play Augusta the next week. It's crazy because I've been invited to play 15 times but couldn't go because I had mini camps. It's one of the things I want to do because I've watched it forever and it's so vivid and stamped in your brain after watching it all these years, to actually go out there and play it, I've heard that it's even better than you could imagine.
I want to check out the Kentucky Derby. My teammate Michael Bush is from Louisville and he's going to take me. He keeps telling that I have to check out the Derby. There's nothing like it. Everything from the galas to the women with the hats on to the mint juleps, it's an amazing event.
I actually want to go to The Ashes, it's a Test cricket series played between England and Australia and it's a huge deal. I was just in London a couple weeks ago reading up on it and it's so big and historic. It's one of cricket's most celebrated rivalries going back to the 1800s. I'd also like to see the 100-meter dash in the Olympics. I really want to go to the Summer Olympics, that's another event that I've always wanted to go to.
I really need to go to a NASCAR event live. It's something that I've always heard about and not just the races but the crowds and the events leading up to it. I've heard the races are amazing to watch in person. I'd love to go see any big race like the Indy 500 or the Daytona 500.
Oh my god, I need to go see a UFC fight in person. For sure if I could sit next to the Octagon for a big UFC fight that would be amazing. I saw UFC 100 and it was incredible and that was on TV, it would be crazy to see one live.
It would be nice to see the World Cup final in a crazy European city. I'm actually going to South Africa to watch the World Cup next year and I can't wait. It is the largest sporting event in the world. It's bigger than the Super Bowl. Soccer and the World Cup brings countries together, it brings the world together. It's unlike any other sporting event in the world.
I'd like to see the World Cup. It's such an international event. I also wouldn't mind seeing the World Cup of Rugby, there would be plenty of hooligans out there and it would be fun to see the event and party.
I would love to see Wimbledon. I would love to go to a Wimbledon final between Serena and Venus. That would be special.
I really want to see the World Cup. I want to South Africa in 2010 and see the World Cup then so I'm hoping that happens. I've been getting more and more into soccer as I travel around the world. They only play football in this country when I go to other countries and want to watch sports they're only showing soccer. I've been getting more and more interested in soccer and I would love to go to big World Cup game live and feel what that's like.
I want to go to the Kentucky Derby. I'd like to get a nice hat and check out the Kentucky Derby. I've heard a lot about the Derby so I'd like to go there and check it out.
I've always heard that the Kentucky Derby is an amazing event to see in person. I'd to go there and see what the atmosphere is like and watch the horses. I know they're just as competitive as any athlete and to see them at Churchill Downs would be incredible.
I've always wanted to go to an NBA Playoffs game. I'm a Lakers fan and I want to see Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in a playoff game at the Staples Center.
