OBERHOF, Germany (AP) -- Dmitry Malyshko anchored Russia to victory in a biathlon World Cup relay Friday, securing the win after Norway's Emil Hegle Svendsen had to reload three times.

Malyshko trailed Svendsen coming to the standing shoot but the Norwegian missed three targets and lost time reloading his rifle. Malyshko missed only once and cruised home to cross the finish line 8.4 seconds ahead of the Norwegian in the 4x7.5-kilometer event. Norway also had a penalty round in the first leg by Henrik L'Abee Lund.

Germany had a penalty round in the first leg as well and was third, 39.3 seconds behind.

Ukraine was fourth, followed by the United States.
