Men's Soccer

Notre Dame celebrates after winning the national championship in men's soccer for the first time in the institution's illustrious history. They beat Maryland 2-1 to ascend to the top of the collegiate men's soccer mountain.

Baseball

Vanderbilt raises the championship trophy with fireworks going off in the background at the College World Series. It was a momentous occasion in the school's history because it's the first national championship the Commodores have won in any sport.

Men's Volleyball

Peter Jasaitis raises the trophy in celebration after diminutive Loyola of Chicago defeated volleyball powerhouse Stanford to win its first Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Men's and Women's Basketball

The UConn women and men won national basketball championships in 2014 and made a joint visit to the White House to be honored by President Obama.

Women's Hockey

The Clarkson Golden Knights celebrate after beating two-time defending champions Minnesota 5-4 to win their first national championship. With the victory, Clarkson became the first school besides Wisconsin, Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota to win the women's hockey title.

Men's Hockey

Members of the Union (N.Y.) men's hockey team celebrate after winning the Men’s Hockey National Championship. In a classic "David versus Goliath" tale, Union College (enrollment: 2,200) defeated Minnesota (enrollment: 48,000) 7-4 to capture its first-ever title.

Women's Lacrosse

The Maryland Terrapins celebrate after defeating the Syracuse Orange 15-12 to win the Women’s Lacrosse Championship for the 11th time. The triumph was special considering they lost in last year's final by one goal.

Men's Gymnastics

Michigan’s men’s gymnastics squad poses on the podium after winning their sixth national title. In their self-proclaimed "Golden Era", Michigan's men's gymnastics team has been dominant, as evidenced by their successful title defense (they won the title last year too).

Football

Jimbo Fisher and Florida State players with their hands in the air after they received the national championship trophy following their victory over Auburn. It's a great achievement for Coach Fisher, as it's the storied coach's first-ever national title in a coaching career spanning more than 25 years.

Women's Track & Field

Members of the Texas A&M team celebrate after winning the Outdoor Track & Field Championship, their fourth in six years. Oregon's women (not pictured), won the Indoor Championship.

Men's Track and Field

The Oregon men’s team jumps for joy after winning the Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championship, the first time in 30 years. The Oregon men won the indoor title as well (not pictured).

Men's Lacrosse

Deemer Class holds up the trophy after Duke’s men’s lacrosse team successfully turned back a furious Notre Dame rally to win the Men's Lacrosse National Championship by a score of 11-9.

Women's Tennis

Softball

Florida swept Alabama 6-3 to win softball's national title. They were statistically the most dominant in the tournament on their way to clinching the school's first-ever softball national title.
