Former Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner was unhurt in a three-vehicle Malibu crash that killed one person on Saturday, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials told the Associated Press.

The crash happened shortly after three p.m. ET, according to Sgt. Matt Dunn, who was unable to say whether Jenner was a driver or a passenger.

Jenner's publicist, Alan Nierob, told the AP that Jenner was unhurt but did not provide further details.

No information about the deceased was immediately available.

Jenner won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
