Welcome to the fourth episode of the SI Media Podcast with Richard Deitsch. In this podcast, which will be published weekly, Deitsch will interview members of the sports media about their work, and interesting people about the sports media.

This week's guests are ESPN commentator Scott Van Pelt and The New York Times European sports correspondent Sam Borden, who called in from Zurich. A popular on-air personality for both ESPN and ESPN Radio, Van Pelt will solo host this fall a midnight version of SportsCenter. On the podcast, he discusses how a SportsCenter anchor prepares for a broadcast, how ESPN Radio management could have better supported his radio show he co-hosted with Ryen Russillo, where Bill Simmons might land next, the University of Maryland's greatest athlete, what consequences come from tweeting about fellow colleagues and more.

Borden discusses how he and fellow Times reporter Michael S. Schmidt reported the arrests of FIFA officials in Switzerlandin real time, and how he and Schmidt were able to get access at a hotel crawling with Swiss police in plainclothes.

Be sure to check back each week in Deitsch's media column for the latest episode, and a reminder: you can now find the podcast on iTunes: SI Media Podcast With Richard Deitsch - Sports Illustrated
