California state cross-country champion Austin Tamagno (Brea Olinda, Calif.) has signed his national letter of intent to run for coach Andy Powell and the Oregon Ducks next year.

Tamagno's decision to run for Oregon comes just one day after top recruit Drew Hunter announced he would be running for the Ducks next year.

Tamagno is the second best returner from last year's Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships, where he finished in fifth place as a junior. Hunter finished one spot ahead of him at the championship. This year’s national championship will be held Dec. 12 at San Diego’s Balboa Park.

On the track, Tamagno holds personal bests of 3:46.94 for 1,500 meters and 4:06.26 for the mile.

The Oregon men finished sixth at last year's NCAA Cross Country National Championships.
