Marathoner Luke Puskedra's daughter diagnosed with Neuroblastoma

Seven-month old Penelope Puskedra has spent several days in the hospital after having undergone surgery for a biopsy. She will undergoing more tests to determine the risk of the cancer.

U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials fourth place finisher Luke Puskedra's seven-month old daughter, Penelope, has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a family friend announced.

Puskedra returned to the sport after a 15-month break where he considered quitting the sport following a failed marathon debut at the 2014 New York City Marathon. In his comeback, he clocked the second fastest marathon by an American in 2015 after running 2:10:24 at the Chicago Marathon. With his fourth place finish at the 2016 U.S. OLympic Marathon Trials, Puskedra is the alternate for the U.S. Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro in August.

Dana Tucker Reber has set up a GoFundMe page to help assist the Puskedra family with donations. The campaign has raised over $15,900 in its first 18 hours.
