Video: Bobcats' Chris Douglas-Roberts hits buzzer-beater to top Hawks

Bobcats forward Chris Douglas-Roberts hit a game-winning floater at the buzzer to lift Charlotte to a 95-93 road victory over Atlanta on Monday.

Bobcats/Hawks might not set television ratings records, but the two teams played a dramatic game down to the wire at the Philips Arena.

A Lou Williams jumper tied the game at 93 with just 2.6 seconds remaining, giving Charlotte one last chance before overtime. The Bobcats ran an elaborate inbounds play in which the first three or four options were unable to get open, and Josh McRoberts finally fed Douglas-Roberts near the three-point line, barely beating a five-second call.

Douglas-Roberts caught the ball going left, using a slip dribble to work his way to about eight feet from the hoop, with three Atlanta defenders surrounding him. That one dribble was all he had time for and he rose up into a floater over the top of Williams and Mike Muscala, who really stood no chance of blocking the high-arcing try.

The ball seemingly remained in the air for an eternity, dropping cleanly through the net just as the buzzer sounded.

Douglas-Roberts, a well-traveled 2008 second-round pick, finished with five points (on 2-for-3 shooting), two rebounds and one assist. Al Jefferson led the way for the Bobcats with a game-high 27 points (on 11-for-17 shooting) and 15 rebounds.

Mike Scott led the Hawks with 20 points (on 8-for-23 shooting) and six rebounds. Williams added 13 points (on 5-for-13 shooting), six assists and five rebounds.
