Kevin Love may have a year remaining on his contract with the Timberwolves, but his future home in the NBA remains uncertain. Many expect the All-Star power forward to leave Minnesota as soon as possible, and with the organization reportedly now ready to open trade discussions for Love, that perception has been heightened.

However, Timberwolves president Flip Saunders indicated over the weekend that Love is likely to stay in the Twin Cities for another year.

Via ESPN:

"The last I knew Kevin was under contract with us, and I expect him to be playing for us next year," Saunders said Sunday after a workout of draft prospects. "I don't really dictate where guys go on vacation or what they do. They can go wherever they want to go."

"I know there's a feeding frenzy out there from a lot of teams," Saunders said. "Unfortunately, they have no say. I plan on Kevin being here."

Love was reportedly vacationing in the Boston Area over the weekend, which prompted Saunders to answer for why his best player was seemingly exploring a potential future destination. When approached by Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, Love said, “I’m sorry man, I can’t do nothing [in terms of talking], I can’t,” and Love's lack of comment seemed to fuel the rumor mill. Other rumors surrounding Love include him going to the Lakers, or even both he and LeBron James going to Cleveland to join the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA draft.

Ultimately, though, Saunders will make the final decision on Love's future.
