The Heat's "big three" of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh met Wednesday to discuss their future together in Miami, according to a report Wednesday night from Brian Windhorst of ESPN

The meeting, which took place at a South Beach restaurant, comes less than two weeks after the Heat lost in five games to the Spurs in the NBA Finals. Since then, James announced he is opting out of the final two years of his contract with the Heat, which is worth approximately $42 million, and will explore free agency. It's been reported that James, Wade and Bosh could all end up opting out of their contracts this summer to give team president Pat Riley and the Heat front office the flexibility to restructure their deals in an attempt to lure Knicks star Carmelo Anthony to Miami to form a "big four." Wade and Bosh have until midnight on Monday to decide if they want to follow in James' footsteps and opt out.

James is expected to reach out to Anthony to discuss his plans, Windhorst reported on Wednesday. Anthony also announced this week that he is opting out of the final year of his deal with New York and will explore free agency once the period officially begins July 1.
