Basketball Insiders: "While Rose had went on the record saying that he wasn’t going recruit Anthony to Chicago, he was very involved in the team’s courtship of the superstar free agent, according to sources close to the situation. While at the United Center, sources say that Rose went through a private workout to show Anthony that he’s healthy and ready to compete at a high level next season."

Gordon Hayward, Celtics share mutual interest. Boston Globe: "One league source said both Stevens and Ainge separately contacted Hayward, a former star at Butler when Stevens coached there. There is mutual interest for a possible reunion in the pro ranks, league sources said."
Bosh, Wade not expected to sign for reported contract figures

Rose to be part of Bulls' Tuesday pitch to Melo. Chicago Tribune: “Derrick Rose is scheduled to be part of the Bulls' Tuesday pitch to Carmelo Anthony, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Whether that involves Rose attending the meeting in person or talking to Anthony isn't clear yet.”
Players told to structure contracts in preparation for possible work stoppage. USA Today Sports: “With NBA free agency tipping off on Tuesday, the players union issued a warning to its constituents in a recent memo obtained by USA TODAY Sports: stretch your salary payments out just in case there's a work stoppage.”
Mavericks interested in D.J. Augustin. ESPN: "Sources said the Mavericks have expressed interest in point guard D.J. Augustin, who could potentially diminish the backcourt shooting void left by the departure of Jose Calderon in the six-player deal with the New York Knicks."
Dallas likely to wait until Wednesday to finalize deal with Nowitzki. ESPN: "The Dallas Mavericks are in advanced discussions with star forward Dirk Nowitzki on a new contract but are likely to hold off on finalizing deal terms until after the team's face-to-face meeting this week with Carmelo Anthony, according to sources close to the process."
Mutual interest between Portland, Josh McRoberts. CSN Northwest: "“In an effort to shore up their depth in the frontcourt, the Portland Trail Blazers contacted the representatives of free agent forward Josh McRoberts and established that both side have interest, league sources informed CSNNW.com.”
Nets meeting with top coaching candidate Lionel Hollins for second straight day. Yahoo Sports: “The Brooklyn Nets are meeting for a second straight day with top coaching candidate Lionel Hollins on Tuesday and could soon advance into contract negotiations should the ex-Memphis Grizzlies coach meet the approval of ownership, league sources told Yahoo Sports.”
