Report: C Spencer Hawes meets with Warriors, expected to meet with Clippers

Free agent center Spencer Hawes, dealt in a deadline trade by the Sixers to the Cavaliers, met with Warriors general manager Bob Myers in Los Angeles on Tuesday, and while there he is expected to meet with Clippers head coach and president of basketball of operations Doc Rivers, according to a tweet Tuesday night from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Hawes was said to be on a short list of players that Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillardtold CSN Northwest's Chris Haynes this week he would like to see Portland go and recruit this summer. As for the Clippers, whether or not Los Angeles can afford the seven-footer is yet to be determined. Hawes, who made $6.5 million last season between his time with the Sixers and Cavs, is seeking a multi-year deal of approximately $8 million per season, Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times tweeted. If he goes to the Warriors, he could be also be used as a stretch-four in Golden State, as he took 300 three's last year and made 40 percent of them.
In his 27 games for Cleveland, he averaged 13.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and one block per game.
