Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott considering playing in Russia
Unrestricted free agent Mike Scott could be on the move to Russia despite seeing increased minutes and success in his second season in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.
Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Tuesday Harris would prefer to stay in the NBA this coming season but is considering a three-year offer from CSKA-Moscow, a team in the VTB United League.
ProBasketballTalk notes the Hawks extended Scott a qualifying offer worth $1.15 million. The overall value of the CSKA offer is unclear.
The news comes hours after the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the Hawks second-round draft pick, Walter Tavares, will "very likely" play in Spain next season instead of the Hawks.
Scott averaged 9.6 points per game for the Hawks last season and helped lead them to a playoff win over the Indiana.
