Former top NBA draft pick Greg Oden is facing a felony charge, a week after being arrested on battery charges.
On Monday, Oden was charged in Marion Superior Court with one count of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, which carries a penalty of one to six years in jail. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury.
According to The Indianapolis Star, Oden was arrested last Thursday at 3:30 a.m. at his mother's house after police said he punched his former girlfriend in the face.
Oden, who was the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft, played last season with the Miami Heat after missing the previous three seasons due to injuries.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
