Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie praised the Twitter account of center Joel Embiid Tuesday, saying the rookie "found the line that makes him entertaining."

Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie praised the Twitter account of center Joel Embiid Tuesday, saying the rookie "found the line that makes him entertaining," reports Sheridan Hoops. 

Emiid has drawn headlines for recent Twitter antics such as wooing singer Rihanna and poking fun at college teammate Andrew Wiggins. 

“I told him I want him to take over my Twitter," joked Hinkie. "I need to get my follower count up."

Thunder to trade Hasheem Thabeet to 76ers

Embiid has amassed 343,000 followers to date. 

The GM said that the team is monitoring what the center does on Twitter. While Embiid's summer tweets are pretty funny, Hinkie said, tweets during a long road trip in the middle of the season could be viewed differently.
