Former SMU point guard recruit Emmanuel Mudiay has signed a contract with Under Armour, the company announced Tuesday.

In July, Mudiay decided to forgo his offer from SMU in favor of playing overseas. He signed a contract with China's Guangdong.

Mudiay has said he made the decision because he was "tired of seeing my mom struggle" and wanted to provide for her. His one-year contract with Guangdong is reportedly worth $1.2 million dollars. Terms of the Under Armour deal were not disclosed.
