Ellington, 26, was acquired by the Sacramento Kings earlier this summer, then subsequently waived. Over the course of 312 games during five years in the league, he has averaged 6.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and one assist in 17.9 minutes per game.

Last season with the Dallas Mavericks, he shot .424 from three-point range, a career high, and lodged the first post-season appearance of his career.
