Wizards' Glen Rice Jr. will miss time after leaving game with ankle sprain
Rice was injured during the third quarter, and the team announced he would not return to the game. "He'll miss some days here, probably," Washington head coach Randy Wittman said, according to J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic.
Rice played in 11 games last season for the Wizards, averaging 9.9 minutes per game. He scored 2.9 points per game and shot 29.7 percent from the field. He averaged 17.2 points per game on 46.4 percent shooting in the D-League last season. He was named the MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League in July.
The Wizards open the season on Oct. 29 against the Heat.
