Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo is expected to miss a month after undergoing surgery for a facial fracture, Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Saturday. The team announced the injury on Friday.

An inadvertent elbow to Oladipo in practice on Thursday caused the injury, according to a news release.

Oladipo has not played this preseason while recovering from a sprained MCL in his left knee. The 22-year-old averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals last season and finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting last season after being selected with the No. 2 pick in the 2013 draft.

The Magic, who went 23-59 in 2013-14, open the upcoming season Oct. 28 at New Orleans.
