Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony left Monday's game against the Rockets with back spasms and did not return. According to MSG's Tina Cervasio, the spasms are considered "severe."

Anthony's injury will be reassessed in 24-48 hours, Knicks coach Derek Fisher said.

The pain was significant enough that Anthony did not address the media. Anthony will travel with the team to Dallas for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, but he will visit a Houston doctor first to receive painkillers that are not stored in the arena, the team told reporters
