Milwaukee Bucks rookie forward Jabari Parker had surgery on the ACL in his left knee on Monday, the team announced.

On Dec. 15Parker's knee appeared to buckle on a drive to the basket in a game against the Phoenix Suns. The rookie had to be carried off the court by his teammates.

Parker's surgery was performed in a New York hospital. According to the Bucks, no "timeline for his return to basketball activity" has been set.

Parker was selected by the Bucks with the No. 2 pick in last year's draft out of Duke. In 25 games this season, the rookie averaged 12.3 points on 49 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists. The Bucks were 13-12 at the time of his injury.

The Bucks are now 18-17, and in third place in the Central Division. The team plays the Suns on Tuesday at home.
