The Miami Heat have shown a "strong interest" in Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez, reports Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

The Nets have continued to talk to multiple teams about Lopez, according to Youngmisuk.

Lopez is averaging 14.7 points and 6.4 rebounds through 28 games this season, including 19 starts. The 26-year-old has spent his entire seven-year NBA career with the Nets and has one more year left on his contract. He is due to make $16.7 million next season and will become a free agent in 2016.

GOLLIVER: SI's NBA All-Star starting lineup

Last season, Lopez scored 20.7 points per game with 6.0 rebounds. He was selected to his first career All-Star game during the 2012-13 season.

ESPN reported back in December that Brooklyn was letting teams know that Lopez, along with Deron Williams and Joe Johnson, was available.

The Nets are 16-23 on the season and lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 103-92 on Wednesday.
