Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walkerwill sit out Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers with soreness in his left knee.

Over 40 games this season, Walker has averaged 19.2 points, 5.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds. Brian Roberts is expected to take Walker's place in the starting lineup.

Charlotte is also missing center Al Jefferson, who is dealing with a groin strain.

The Hornets have won five of their last six games to improve to 15-25, two games back of the Brooklyn Nets for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

During that span, Walker has averaged 29.8 points.
