Hawks' Mike Budenholzer, Warriors' Steve Kerr will coach All-Stars

Mike Budenholzer of the Atlanta Hawks and the Golden State Warriors' Steve Kerr will coach their respective conferences at next month's NBA All-Star Game, the league announced.

All-Star Game coaches are chosen based on which team has the best record in its conference on Feb. 1. Budenholzer's Hawks and Kerr's Warriors both won Wednesday to clinch the best record on that date.

Atlanta beat the Indiana Pacers for the Hawks' 14th consecutive victory, improving to 35-8. Golden State won its 34th game of the season over the Houston Rockets.

The Washington Wizards currently have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 29-13. The Portland Trail Blazers are second in the West at 31-12.

The 2015 All-Star Game will be played on Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
