Report: Pistons acquire Tayshaun Prince in trade with Celtics

The Detroit Pistons have acquired Tayshaun Prince in a trade with the Boston Celtics, ESPN's Marc Stein reports

The Celtics will receive Luigi Datome and Jonas Jerebko in return, Stein reports

Prince, who turns 35 later this month, played 11 seasons with the Pistons from 2002 to 2013. He was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in January 2013 in a three-team deal that sent Rudy Gay to the Toronto Raptors and Jose Calderon to Detroit, among others.

Prince was traded to the Celtics on Jan. 12 of this year in a three-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans

Prince won an NBA championship with the Pistons in 2004 and was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in four straight seasons between 2005 and 2008. In 35 games this season, Prince is averaging 7.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

Datome, 27, is in his second NBA season after playing in Europe from 2003 to 2013. He has 11 total points in three games this season. Jerebko, a 27-year-old, 6'10" Swedish forward, has played for the Pistons since 2009. He is averaging 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per game this season.
