On Friday night against the Detroit Pistons, Shved was able to immediately contribute in way Knicks fans are accustomed to this season.
With seven minutes remaining in the game and the shot clock winding down, Shved offered up an errant sky hook that landed several rows deep in the stands.
[daily_cut.NBA]Shved's mistake, shocking as it was, did not cost New York the game. The Knicks, led by Andrea Bargnani's 25 points and 12 rebounds, defeated the Pistons 121-115 in double overtime.
Bargnani's efforts, paired with Lou Amundson's 17 points and 14 rebounds, were able to overcome 28 points and 13 rebounds from Detroit forward Greg Monroe and 21 points and 15 rebounds from center Andre Drummond.
With the loss, Detroit falls to 23-35. The Pistons will face the Wizards next, on Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET in Washington. New York will play Saturday night as well, hosting the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m.
