The Washington Wizards are signing guard Will Bynum, according to a report from CSNWashington.com.

Bynum has played six seasons with the Detroit Pistons and also appeared in 15 games with the Golden State Warriors since going undrafted out of Georgia Tech in 2006.

In his final season with Detroit, Bynum averaged 8.7 points and 3.9 assists. He has posted career averages of 8.2 and 3.3, respectively, in those categories.

This season Bynum signed with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. Over 30 games with the team, he has averaged 22.3 points and 7.1 assists.

According to The Washington Post, Washington also plans to release guard Toure' Murry, who reportedly injured his ankle after signing a second 10-day contract with the team earlier this month.

At 40-32, the Wizards currently sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. They host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
