The NBA announced on Monday it has rescinded the technical foul assessed to Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook during Sunday night's game against the Indiana Pacers.
With the Thunder battling the New Orleans Pelicans for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, Westbrook scored 54 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out eight assists and recorded one steal in a 116–104 loss.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Westbrook was whistled for arguing a foul call. The technical was the 16th Westbrook has received this season, resulting in a one-game suspension.
"I got no view on it," Westbrook said after the game, according to The Oklahoman. "He called it, and you have got to move on from it."
After Sunday's results, Oklahoma City and New Orleans both have 43–37 records. The Pelicans hold the tiebreaker between the two teams.
On Monday, Oklahoma City hosts the Portland Trail Blazers, while New Orleans plays the Timberwolves in Minnesota.
